Ok so I was driving to work tonight and my headlights were working fine. I got off work and got on the highway and noticed that i couldn't see the road, so obviously something was weird, so I shut them off and tried to turn them on again, my DRL light in my dash flashed 3 or 4 times and then the service light came on. So I drove home with my highbeams on, got home and checked all of the fuses and everything looked fine. I'm thinking it's the drl relay in the fusebox but can't seem to pull it out of there, anyone else think that could be the problem? and where I can get one if it is? any help would be appreciated, kinda new to this stuff. thanks

figured i'd add this cause i read another post. I don't think it's the harness or it's burnt out bulb. i've never replaced either of the bulbs since i bought the car, and I don't think that if one burnt out the other low beam just wouldn't work because the other one was burnt out..and obviously couldn't be the high beams cause they work too...make sense?
Sure toss a DRL rekay since you seemed to have already diagnosed the problem.
But heres what I would do.
Since neither of them work, but the high beams do and they share the same bulb, and the same ground, we know they have 12V and a ground.
However if you DRLs work, I dont see why you would replace the relay for.
I would look more towards the multi function switch being bad. But again I would need to see the wiring diagram to be sure

the drls don't work. the high beams are the only lights that will come on.
I just had the same problem, the high beams work but the low beams wouldnt, one of the reasons my car failed inspection. I had to replace the whole handle and it worked fine then, it's dumb how the handle shared the lights and turn signals, i guess the wires got worn out inside it.

Thats the multi function switch I was talking about, the wires dont get worn out, the contacts are what do.
So no low beams and no DRLs eh'
Do you have a wiring diagram, are the low beams wired through the DRL relay?

no they arent, if you take the relay out, only the DRL will not functino, headlights should be the same. However if the LH Fuse is taken out DRL will not functino neither will the lh light, but this sounds like the multi function switch. the low beams are only wired through the relay by the signal wire thats it

I'm so confused. I really don't know much about the electrical portion of my car, and I really know how to do is pull out fuses and put in new ones, so your saying it's the arm that controls the lights? or it's the relay fuse in the fuse box? I really don't care if the drls work but I really need headlights that won't blind someone when I go to work at 10 tonight.
You need to either test the switch, or get a wiring diagram and eliminate the switch.
If you have no idea what to do best to bring it someplace
