I was walking back to my 2001 Cav and noticed the brake lights were all on still from parking it. Most of the time this doesn't happen but when it does after I move the car it is usually gone.

What the heck is causing this?? Is there a problem with the switch at the pedal?

I bet so...maybe you can adjust it, not sure though

You can and its really easy.

Twist it a quarter turn and it slides free. Push it all the way in. Twist it so that it locks...now pull the pedal forward. The switch will click untill the pedal is all the way back to the rear. Thats it...its adjusted.

Make sure it is all the way rotated back into the locked position.


Same thing goes for the cruise control swtich down there. Both of them are cheap if you have to replace them. under 10 for the brake switch and 11 for the CC switch
