Heya Kenneth: If you got 5 spd manual transmission, youre gonna need Syncromesh transmission fluid (GM Part # 12345349).

If you got 3spd or 4 spd automatice youre gonna need Dexron IIE or III automatic fluid (ATF).

Good Luck.

In a manual tranny, you can also use DOT3 brake fluid in place... same stuff

Yea! You've never heard that DOT3 is the same fluid viscosity?

Don't use DOT3 brake fluid. No friction modifiers, it absorbs water, Its just not a lubricant. Its a high pressure hydraulic fluid designed for brake. Use the Syncromesh fluid.
