Spark plugs fouling

I have a 95 2.2l 5 speed, The plugs foul within 10 miles, And ive gone threw 3 sets.

Car has brand new coils, Wires, And a set of new fould plugs.

I had a tranny put in it, And when i got the car back from the mechanic, It died on me later that night. He came, pushed the bottom of the FPR [I think is what it is, Right side of motor, Brass round thing with the spring inside], And it started right up. Think this could be causing it?
If indeed that part is the FPR, Is there an adjustable one? Also how would i hook up a gauge for the fuel pressure?

I need to get this car back on the road, Even if it means dropping a new motor in it. But id rather fix whats in it, And go the turbo route, with a decent suspension..

Are you saying the plugs started fouling right after the tranny was put in? Also, what do the fouled plugs look like (ie: full of oil, full of gas, etc.)?

You had a new "tranny" put in it....

And then it started fouling plugs...

It reminded me, where I worked there was a fleet of executive late model
new Chevroelts (not Cavaliers, the BIG ones)...

The executives drove them same as personal vehicles, except the company
had to provide care, maintenance, even keep them washed and oil changed...

(Based on mileage, the executives were charged non-cash-fringe-benefits
each year for tax purposes. The executives loved it, a low level employee
kept those vehicles in perfect condition, the executives didn't have to do
anything but drive.)

Suddenly one of the fleet started burning oil...the mileage was l2,XXX ... ???

The employee who maintained these vehicles ask me to help check what
was wrong...

It was easy...

There were wrench marks all over the place...

The engine - transmission had been taken out...

There were older units set in their place...

Turns out an oil change place recently kept the car overnite..

Sometime during the night the engine and transmission were swapped...

The swap was with a "dog"...

.............................

Be wary. !!!

Damn crooks, This happened to my friends Z24, The shop threw a over miled transmission into my buddys car, They said it only had 30,000 k on it, Just lasted until the warranty ran out. He decided to open it up, So much sludge. I bet they put some tranny additive into it just to prolong the life.

Rich, thanks for the response...

(Here's hoping the site monitor doesn't kick us both off, but "maintenance" often is just

"fixing" something an idiot or crook did ....)
