Gas pedal vibrations
Thursday, April 05, 2007 4:13 PM
I searched with no answer. I've got a slight vibration when pushing the gas as it hit around 2000 and 2500 rpms, once it passes this or goes below this the vibration in the pedal goes away. Has anyone ever heard of this problem before?
Thanks for any input.

Any performance issues with that occuring? Could also have a binding throttle cable, May need replacing.

Good Luck.

Nope not at all and I can't really look at the gas mileage yet b/c we just got hit with a cold front so I guess tell if that's hurting or not. Also it seems to not vibrate as much after i've driven the car on the highway and a bit of city driving. It's more of an annoyance than anything right now, but I wanted to figure out what it was before it became a problem.
Thanks and i'll have to look at the cable when it gets above the 30's.

my cavi had a bad vibration under hard acceleration, it was an output shaft seal on the trans...random. but i also had trans fluid on the side of my motor.

i got a vibration on the pedal but nothing of concern.

My car may run 18s, but I can do your taxes in 10 seconds flat.
JBO lube - they would never have enough in stock and we'd never see RodimusPrime again

nothing yet.......it's not really a problem once it's warm like it is now. I'll update this if it should get worse and I found out what the problem is.

A long shot maybe, but have you checked your engine mounts under a load!

^ my dad suggested that and I only get the vibes when the car is moving....so after work today I put the car up and double checked every mount trans/engine. And I want to put my money on my CV joints since the vibes go away when I turn left or right. When I get more time to look into it I will let u guys know.

A good way to check CV's is to just crap the wheel hard left and drive in a slow circle and listen for any clunking noise then do the same turning right.
Also, check you CV boots, any breaks or grease under the car?

^ I'll do that thanks for the tip. as for greese under the car...you would cry if you saw all the oil on the belly of my j. I need to replace the little rubber gasket around my dipstick tube to stop the leak.
