Hey guys i am changing both front wheel bearings and control arms on my 00 fire is this a big job/ i have a shop and air tools and a hoist but i have never done a job like his before i have the Chilton's book as well and one more things how big of a job is it to drop the HOLE rear suspension not just the struts but ever thing at the back? Thanks
Just changing the front wheel bearings arent to bad. I did one in about 15 minutes. the control arms i havent done but am pretty sure its just as easy. Thge rear suspension should be farely easy to remove. Take the bolts out from the shocks and remvoe the brake lines and cap them off. Then you can take the bolts out of the mount and it should come right on out.
sweet man thanks any more hints and tips guys?
i changed my front passenger side bearing on my cavalier couple of weeks ago, took me 20-30 minutes with no power tools. its pretty easy. im not sure about control arms though..
Depends what state/climate you live in.
I've had to heat up wheel bearings before with a torch to remove them.
Control arms arent to bad to do. Those bolts are typically worse getting out that wheel bearing ones.

if your bearing are bad enough... they will just fall out haha .. it happened to my 96 cavi .. but there easy to do if you have the right tools .. looks like you do so your set .. 1 hour job max with all the tool your have haha
what about the rear suspension like the struts, all the rear drums rear controal arms like all that stuff?
Well....what exactly are you trying to accomplish back there?

i hit a curb the car slid sideways and hit the rim bent it in i have replaced that but some thing it bent back there and i have a parts car so my thinking was the hell with it i will just replace the whole thing
rear is really easy, just set it up on jack stands.
