OK guys I have a problem, my timing chain is bad and I started to take the parts off my car. I ran into a problem with the mounting bolts for the top engine mount, they hit the body and are unable to come out. Do I have to drop the motor? Help please

Your in luck i was doing the same thing today, if you have the top part of the mount off all you have the do is put a jack under the lower motor mount and raise the engine. All three bolt should be able to clear the inner fender. The head of the bottom bolt fits into a hole in the frame that should allow you to wiggle the mount out. Make sure you have a block of wood under the old pan just in case.
I got the cover off and noticed that the chain has slack, it does not ride on the guides anymore. So I guess I am fixing the right part, lol. It seems like a common problem on these motors. I have a 114,000 miles

What motor is this in.
Excess slack is normally caused by the hydralic tensioner not holding tension anymore.
