Maybe in the audio and electronics forum ....
1 Check the bulbs
2 Fuses
3 Electricity on the sockets and ground
4 get a friend who knows his way on electric things to take a look
Thatīs what I will do before going to a shop.

Just to help out here.....I have talked to him about this.....

He has brake lights (so the bulbs work and so do the grounds)

There is just no power to them when he turns on his lights.

because the brake lights work does not mean the other elements in the bulbs aren't blown, and also, the lights are on a negative polarity, so the brake lights and the park lights use different grounds

Just to clarify....He's got brake lights when he steps on the brake pedal, but no parking lights when he turns on his lights...

SO this is a parking light issue then.

I would check the bulbs first, as they are double filament, so you have one for the brakes which is bright and one that is dimmer for the parking lights.

If that's ok, i would look at the socket of the bulb. and the wiring also. There might be a contact issue in the sockets or the wiring also.

I would check the ground also , maybe even clean them up a little.

If all that fails, i would check the wire that goes from the parking light switch to the rear socket.

It could be possible that the parking light switch is defective and only effecting the rear tails....
