Friday, March 23, 2007 10:42 AM
ok i have a 94 pontiac sunbird with a 2.0 Over head cam and i had the car iding and the timeing belt snapped and i have new one and now bigger problems lol i try to set the belt i get the belt on cam gear groove matching the mark on the back plate and the crank gear on the 10 degree mark then i try to start the car both gears are lined up but once i crank it it doesnt start but i stop cranking get out move the crank back to 10 degree and the mark on the cam gear is completely upside down from the mark on the back plate it happens every time i do this

but also if u could help me i took off all the plug wires i have the haynes manual but it doesnt show how to put them back on its a coil pack under the intake so if someone could give me the details on that that would be great for which cylinder hooks to where on it and if i could get the informationg on what im doing wrong on the timeing belt that would help alot

please dont tell me if this belt breaks it bends valves but if it does i have another head off an older 2.0 OHC that will hopefully work but info will be well thanked lol thanks all bye
