Hey guys, could I get some cooling help? Few questions...

What I'm working with: 97 Cavalier LN2 Daily Driver. (And no, I don't want to swap to anything else)

Ok, this coolant T... the one on the left goes to the radiator and the one in the front goes to the engine. The one on the right I BELIEVE is a heater duct. True / False?

That one. Is there any way of re-routing that?

Another question I have is who here has upgraded their radiator to something bigger/thicker? What was it and where did you get it from? Just curious because it doesn't look like the 1" is a whole lot.

I plan on going turbo sooner or later but a my LN2 isn't leaving me much room to work with...

YUp, I actaully did it. I believe that only good for your heater core to heat up alot quicker. My issue us that in the summer, the temp. would get really hot, so I simply bought a long coolant hose (make sure it fits the OE tube) at Autozone then, disconnected that line and cut it with a tube cutter, bypassing the hot manifold. My car now runs cooler and a little more quicker. In the winter time, you will need to warm up a little longer with this mod.

You will need to drain the coolant, disconect the tube from the head (there are two bolts: infront of the exhaust manifold, and a bolt underneath the Egr housing, save the tube since you will cut angels to fit it with the new hose. You will need small clamps as well.

I'll try to post a pic I have showing this.

Wow bro. Thanks! Do you have AC?

HOW THE HELL ARE WE FITTING TURBO'S IN THAT ENGINE BAY WITH THAT ENGINE?? I tried to put a T3 (one laying around awaiting a new home) in that area and it would fit practically anywhere...

You can modify you header to have a t3 flange welded toward the end of the connecting tubes and run the oil lines to it, that would be a "remote" type of turbo (very complicated). Or you can buy a log manifold and bent the oil tube a little to the right and weld a small tube on the side for oil return. Oil feed is a plug above the oil filter. I also heard older j's 88 have a manifold that has a log style and where you can weld the t3 flange.

^ No, i dont have A/C, that piece of junk weighed like 35 lbs, not to mention the evap canister and a/c radiator. Try a smaller turbo, an eclispe 4g63 turbo are tiny but pack a punch.

Yeah, I plan on killing my AC as well. I don't want a smaller turbo because I already have this T3... I'll just have to find ways around this. I can use a torch and I'll just bend some pipes to help fit.
