bahahahaha Thats funny the exact same thing happend to me. The funny thing is i Was at KFC too. Im not quite sure on the name of the sensor, I think its IAT but its on the intake tube. I have heard its a common problem that wires come loose going into the plug for that sensor.

Scan the code...and post it here. If you don't, we are guessing

haha, you are not going to beleive what the problem was. when i took the intake tube off to get access to the battery, i forgot to plug the sensor back in. ha...i know...stupid me. but the ETS light dissapeared but the check engine is still on....hmm

It may take up to 40 drive cycles to clear the code by itself, using a scan tool will do it right away.

You could also unplug the negative battery terminal for a few minutes. That will reset the trouble code. However you have to reprogram your radio and clock.

When the check engine comes on it also disables the traction control which is why the ETS OFF light comes on. However if you have an auto and go to 1st or 2nd with the shifter it will disable the traction control. That could be good for heating up racing tires at the track with the e-brake locked (though that will throw an ABS light and disable ABS until you restart the car).

I got this same thing. Read code P0507, which is like idle rpm's are high. I noticed that when I let off the gas the rpm's would bounce up to about 1500 then back to normal, but this went away after the trac off light went away; though i still have the check engine light.

The trac off light also came back and did the same thing again, but then went away again and hasnt come back yet. I thought it was one of the tb sensors cause I put in a 58mm tb and wai about a week ago but idk.
