93 Sunbird - No start
Thursday, March 15, 2007 12:02 PM
I went outside to start my car today after 2 months of not using her at all. And she won't start. Suprise , Surprise.
I hear some faint clicks when I leave the key turned forward and the time and sensor lights on the dash flicker and go off and on. So I left the key in the forward position and went and looked under the hood and one of the first 2 sensors by the battery, one of them was clicking, and then it stopped, and then another one over by the alternator started clicking.
Any idea whats going on ?

The battery has discharged and/or you have a corroded/bad connection somewhere.

I would first disconnect the battery and do a full charge on it for 24hrs.Check all ur battery connections and clean espec the ground wire.Do the same for the alternator and you should be fine unless the battery is way old or the alternator is going which u should check after u charge the bat,and get it running and use a multimeter to verify the amperage coming off the alter is at least 13volts or higher.
