A few months ago I did the DRL disable on my 96 Z, where I cut the wire in behind the cluster (blue wire I believe). It's cool because the gay drl's are dead now so the car looks better during the day. I never noticed if the brights worked afterwards but the other night I turned them on and the left one was out. I thought no biggie so I changed the bulb but the left side bright isn't working still.
I am wondering if the DRL disable had anything to do with it. I know the fuse box way to DRL kills one bright but I thought by cutting the wire behind the gauge cluster the brights should work. Any ideas?

Check the fuse box inside the car I believe there a fuse for each high beam probably blown...
Thanks I'll give it a look tomorrow. I searched the forums but all I see are problems with the DRL relay. I believe it's not an issue because I've cut the wiring powering the DRL relay and the both the low beams work so I think the relay is out of the question. I'll look at the fuses though. Thanks.

My car only has Left and Right headlamp fuses. I pulled the left one and checked it and it's good. But it controls the entire light. I've swapped in 9005 bulbs and the new one didn't work so it's electrical. I'm stumped? Why would the passenger high beam harness have power but not the drivers side one? Don't they get power from the same source?

Mine is a 96 and I cut the blue wire next to the purple wire in the harness behind the gauge cluster. I'll try to make a jumper on the relay to see if it will work though. I'll let you know.
