So I've been getting this same code thrown up on my CEL and everytime i scan it at work, it throws 2 of these same codes. These have been coming up ever since we replaced the water pump/thermostat and my engine temp hasnt worked since. I replaced the coolant temp sensor but this hasnt helped. So I'm not sure what to try next. Can I get some pointers?
If it says high input it simply means the temp is higher than expected/allowed.
For example if the car is on for two minutes and the thing is saying 4.5V or 5v, which means really hot like 240F, so temps it doesnt even reach. the computer will say, well the car has been on for this long, but is saying this hot. It will recongize that, and those codes are two trip, so if it sees the fault twice it sets the code.
Basically saying your sensor is most likely saying 5V all the time, or basically shorted to ground in the wiring someplace.

that must be what it is then, because things were fiddled with when the guys were looking at it. where would I begin looking just follow the wires as far as i can go and see if its grounding out somewhere?
