Ok the other day my car was up on the hoist getting some new tires and I happened to notice some loose wires behind the gas tank by that plastic tank that is for the evap system. The wires were broken and coming from on plug and going into another plug, I asked the mechanic and he said it was for the evap solenoid? He said it was for a valve that put vacuum into the gas tank and fuel lines to make sure there was no leaks. It was just a short pigtail with around a footlong with a plastic plug on each end. The wires were to short to try and splice so does anyone know what I am talking about and can give me the proper name for it so I can pick up a new one.

This would probably explain why my check engine light is throwing and evap system fault.

Actually their is a TSB about that problem, You can get an updated harness from GM or Even a AC delco distributor. Once upon a time I posted that TSB maybe you can find it in a search.
