Rev Rates For Various Speeds

Hey guys, compared to other cars, I think my 05 Cavalier Revs higher than it should at the various speed, I could be wrong and maybe thats just the way the Cavalier is, but others who get in the car think this too.

Does anyone have a list, or something to check against that shows what the rev should be at various speeds.

Thanks for the help guys.

You can calculate it from outer tire diameter, gear ratio and final drive ratio.

A getrag manual will rev about 38 RPM for every mph in 5th gear.

3040 RPM @ 80mph
2090 RPM @ 55mph

You think this is bad, drive a Scion tC sometime. My cousin says his tC does 3K @ 55mph. Not sure if it's true or not, but it would explain the crappy fuel economy.
