Well the time has come to shave the rear handles, but as recent trends have gone, I have to fix something first before I can get the job done. The passenger side rear door's child safety wont switch no matter how many times you flip the switch or fiddle with the hook, it's been like this since I bought the car and never really bothered me but if I dont fix it that door will be unopenable (is that a word?). Any tricks or tips I should try or should do i have to pop the panel off? it'd be nice to do that anyways so i can remove that styrofoam to roll the windows the entire way down. All help is appreciated!
anybody? I was clicking the lock up and down and sprayed some WD40 in there and still had no luck
Well, it sounds like the switch for the saftey lock is either broke internally, or not making contact. Hell, it could be that the inside door handle is broke. My guess is to take the panel off and start looking around.
I dont know too much about it but I hope it helps...
...They just HATE it when you ...POINT - LAUGH - then DRIVE OFF AND AWAY-!...
I figured, thats kinda what it sounds like just like something isn't connected right, it really sucks.
If you're shaving the handles, don't you have to take the door panel apart to put in solenoids anyways?
