My buddy has a 1998 Firebird (V6). He's been away at college while the bird has sat in the cold New Jersey weather for two months. Is there anything he should do before he starts the car up for the first time? He wants to reduce wear on the engine. Will there be sufficient lubrication with oil settling to the bottom of the crank case? Any suggestions/help are appreciated. Thanks...a bunch?
Just make sure it's got enough oil and fire it up. Keep it running for an hour or so after it warms up to rid the oil of any condensation that built up due to changes in weather.
