which is better....or is there a difference?

so i have the choice of getting two different repair manuals, haynes or chiltons. i've never really had to deal with chiltons, and i have never had a problem with haynes, but i was wondering if there really was a difference, or if one was better that the other?

GM Factory Service manual FTW. Haynes and Chilton manuals are a good start, but tend to be like directions back to the interstate from the kid who pumps gas. Granted, I am a little biased since I'm typing this message from work -- where I an surrounded by the factory manuals we sell. I could hook you up with a rough used factory manual for $40, or something cleaner for a few more bucks. PM me if you're interested.

Well Kris : Ive learned how to repair cars with a visual sense, Ive always used haynes manual as a reference if I was stumped on something. Factory manual is always the best. I just didnt want to shout out the extra cash for it. ( I guess I am cheap). LOL.

It really depends on how you look at it, I want to spend the extra cash sure why not. I look at it, extra cash left over Beers are a great treat after a completed repair job.

Good Luck.
