ok folks, i search a little bit and didnt come up with much. im getting ready to change the filter and fliud in my 04 cav auto, and i need to know what the fluid capacity is. soo...anyone know?

I do believe when you drop the pan, and refilll it is 9.5. quarts.

^^^ that for a complete flush (completly empty).....but if your are just doing is changing filter and fluid is about 7-7.5 quarts correct me if im wrong

today i noticed a post in the Preformance forum, an Ecotec engine guide posted by Darkstars, it lists the 4 speeds capacity as 6.9 qts for dropping the pan, and 9.5 for a complete overhaul, so basically it seems you guys are pretty much on target. thanks for the info.
