RK Sport performance engine mounts.... shake/rattle problem
Wednesday, February 21, 2007 8:27 PM
Im figuring that about 75% of the people on here have these so I need some advice. They've been in for about 3 months and im getting sick of all the vibrations and little squeaks and squeels caused by the engine mounts. Im wonring if theres any way to keep them in or even only one of them in and at the same time stop the vibrations? If you remove just one of them will it help it? Any help from anyone will be greatly appreciated... Thank You

I would check out www.turbotechracing.com for his upper mounts, TON less vibrations, not sure which car they are for but he has some available for many cavalier motors. They hardly vibrate at all compared to any from RK Sport.

Besides going with the TTR mount... Swapping the lower for the stock will reduce the vibes to tolerence. The insert will provide some stiffness (lol), but will not create much vibes. Id still recommend sticking with them. The vibes is just one con over its countless pros IMO.

hope it helps...

...They just HATE it when you ...POINT - LAUGH - then DRIVE OFF AND AWAY-!...

i agree with all flawless, i think its a personal preference and the condition of the car your putting aftermarket mounts on. i have a couple different kinds on my cavi and it has some slight vibs with both but there nothing wrong with the car. if your giving the motor less room to move and less play for it to move in then its gunna vib most likely
