when i turn off my car, i hear a Chirping noise thats coming from the engine bay... im gonna take a look this weekend but id like to know whats a good place to start... probably around the fanbelt? its gets slower and then stops after a minute or so... its become more persistent recently and it has rained this week, so i suppose it could be moisture... any ideas?
havent tried it, ill let you know... that would make it related to the alternator in some way correct?
our cars do not have fan belts. the noise is most likely the electric fan slowing down after you shut off the engine. mine does the same exact thing. is there any reason why your cooling fan would be on just before shutting off your engine such as a check engine light? or do you have your hvac set to the defroster or cabin circulation? but yeah, thats what it is, its your cooling fan slowing down.
