ok this is my problem when i press my clutch in on my sunfire i get a wierd clicking noise like on wheel of fortune when the wheel spins ....but when i accelerate in any gear i dont get this noise ...but then when i press the clutch in again 2 change gears i get the noise or if i dont accelerate and decerrerate i get the noise ....my gears arnt slipping or anything like that plz help im in need thank you
Let me guess, this problem happens only when the motor/tranny is cold?
Mine acts up at cold startup also. What is happening is the sycromesh in the tranny is making the noise. Try double clutching between gears. This should help. When the warm weather arrives the problem should go away. That's my insight into your situation.
not true i drove all day 2day sum1 told me sumthing about a barring or something im not sure but its a weird noise anc i still cant figure it out
its the throw out bearing on the clutch i do believe. mine did that a couple of months after i bought it used, its been 5 years and still good.

maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow....... but some day
Throw out bearings, only make noise when pressing in, or releaseing the clutch. Not when it is fully disengaged or fully engaged.

hey..... sometimes when its cold my clutch make a grinding/slipping noise when I start the car and let the clutch out. Now when I push It back in... the noise goes away. But when the clutch is out.. it sounds like a slipping, grinding noise.... When its warm it does it lesser hardly noticable.
it turned out 2 be my gears in my tranny thanks 4 the help tho guys
