Heater problem

I read the FAQ at the top of this page, but it doesn't seem to cover my problem.

I can get my car to heat up and get warm air in the vents, but anytime I go over 2500 rpm's the heat drops and the vents blow cooler to cold. I had a leak in my heater core and used some sealant and for awhile that worked, then this new problem arose. Does anyone have any idea's to fix this besides replacing the heater core?

Naw, seein' as there was a leak, you mighta took in some air. Burp the system, but schedule to replace that core! Involved job, but get yourself a Hanes manual (better for interior jobs) to help you take apart the dash. Nothing technical; if you can spin a wrench, you can do it. Block off a day to take your time to do it.
