Ok, dropped the pan and found metal strips in the pan so I'm guessing that it's time to replace the bearings. My issue is I'm having problems trying to locate a place that can get them. I know I can go to the Chevy place in town, but they're never wanting to cut a decent deal or price. Where/who is a good place to buy a set from? I've got a feeling that it just scared a rod bearing b/c it's still making pressure just making the knock under certain load conditions, but figured I'd ask about both. Thanks for any and all help yall.

Pretty well any local auto zone parts store should beable to get you a good bottom end rebuild kit for a good price, But since you have the bottom end of the motor apart, You might want to get the crank shaft checked out from a machine shop, So that you dont have any problems down the road.
Good Luck.
if you have any metals shavings in that bottom end you should really pull that crank off and make sure everything is still within spec, and/or fixed, then get some properly measured bearings... another thing... why did they fail??
