having problems with 01 z24 2.4 problems with idle and power when you start the car idle really rough and won't stay running give it gas it falls in its face i have replace the whole top cover and plugs, even thought maybe got bad gas so i got all the gas out and put in new stills falls on its face does anyone have answers????????

check eng light is on had it tested mup misfire two cylinders

sounds like a possible spun bearing,
was there damage on the replaced plugs?

Funny this came up. My buddy has a Grand Am that had a near identical problem. We checked everything. I never though that a plugged cat would realy do that. Turned out that was the last thing we checked and sure enoguh that was the problem. Drilled some holes in it and it runs fine now.

huh???
Usually noise with spun bearings, not rough running.
Check the vaccum hose on the map sensor. Also a TPS could do this. Check the vaccum hose first.
