Backup lights not working

I apologize if this is in the wrong section. I have an '04 M5 Cavalier, daily driver, bought brand new, only 65K miles, well maintained, never wrecked, etc. etc. etc. But all of a sudden the backup lights quit working. They quit working light the switch is bad. Here's the question. Where's the backup switch located/how do you get to it?

Thanks

Is youre car a 5 spd?, Also I would check the wiring harnesses both backup lights, And replace bulbs, Then switch should be located in the side console panel. You should beable to see the switch.

Good Luck.

and M5 cavy, yummy, I didn't know BMW did that for GM, sounds sick tho, I want pics!

Seriously tho, could it be that its just unplugged? I know mine came undone once after fiddling around with the wiring, check the plug, make sure its plugged in properly before you go and start replacing things. Tho, like it was said, only takes a minute to do.

Thanks team. I just needed to know where the switch is to check it and it looks like you all pointed me in the right direction.
And by the way I got the M5 Manual 5 speed option.
I'm an F-body gearhead so TPI, LS1, L98, B4C, LT1, 4L60E, M5, A4, 5.7, 6.0, RS, SS, etc. is my language.
The Cav is a daily driver. The toy is a fully loaded 25th Anniversary Limited Edition Heritage Package A4 TPI Holley Stealth Rammed 355 Z28 (MSD, ceramic headers, twin 58mm TB, 3,200 STC, Hotchkis SFC's, etc etc) built by me. I admit I don't know much about J bodies except that mine gets great MPG (thus the daily driver).
