Im new to this site, but not to mechanical knowhow, i just cannot figure this out for the life of me


i have a 98 cavalier z24, auto

well, the problem is, it likes to just randomly hesitate...even if i hold my foot in one position on the throttle, itll jump down 3-400 rpm, then come back, and will repeat it over and over again. Its pretty much cutting in and out. If i get on teh hiway, itll do it for 5 mins, then it will stop hesitating and drive like it should. Its almost random when it happens.......just chooses when it wants to....any ideas? hope i posted this in the right area, and if not, sorry.

thinking either TPS sensor, or O2 sensor. Any codes? And should you be posting in this forum? Just for future reference, this should probably be in the maintenance forum. Don't post there now, this will probably get moved. Congrats on joining. Use the search button. Try looking up "hesitate" or "hesitating" you might find something. This site has been around for quite some time and there is a LOT of info on here. Have fun and ignore the haters.
