Valve cover torque specs

motor is getting dropped in tomorrow and i havnt been able to pick a book up for the eco motor yet so just wondering what the torque specs were for the valve cover. buddy broke two of his bolts off putting the cover on and i dont want to go thru the same hassle.

Heh, my book is 90 miles away right now Its not much, I want to say30 ft/lbs....but someone else will chime in here...

My Helms manual says:

Tighten the camshaft cover bolts to 10N.m (89lb in.)

That's not real tight...maybe 15 ft/lbs?




Eh...old man with a Corvette now...it was bound to happen sooner rather than later right?

89ipds/in is 7.5lbs/ft
