My guess would be either a spring scretched, Or broken, I did you use a new spring harware kit when replacing the rear brakes?, Sometimes the rear brake shoes need lube grease on rear brake shoe back plate, Usually with out that grease will cause those noises.

Good Luck

keep us updated.

i replaced most of the springs. maybe I missed lubing something. geuss i'll have to take them off again.

before they get fused like last time.

Just for an FYI, this clicking is when i'm braking.

I thought I set them up right.
The 'bigger' pad goes on the rear of the car?
i'll take them off tonight or tommorow.

I've got the same issue right now, it seems better when it was warm for a few days, but when cold it's loud, and annoying. I'll pull it apart again this weekend and try lubing the back of the pads, what kind of lube would I use?

when a drum or rotor is turned, it creates a threaded surface on the drum that must be removed with a nondirectional finish using 80-100 grit sandpaper. If they arent finished, the shoes or pads will ride the threads outward then snap back while braking, that could be the cause

Mine are new drums, but that's interesting.

OK, I figured I'd update incase it helps anyone else down the road. I had pulled this drum apart about 4 times now, it was new shoes and drums that started this clicking sound, I've made sure everything was put together right, greased where the shoe meets the backing plate, beat it up with a rubber mallet to make sure everything was seated properly, and the thing that fixed it, swapping drums from side to side. Hasn't made a peep all day, doesn't make sense, but it's fixed. I HATE drum brakse, lol.
