im getting p1870 transmision component slippage. The car fells absolitly fine?? The trans fluid has not been flushed and the car has 100K miles.
Its the 3 speed auto.
obvouisly probly needs a flush but is it to late?

well I dont see an edit buton so ill reply to my own thread.

If the trans does end up needing a rebuild. How hard would it be to swap in a 4 speed auto instead of the 3 speed?

i would start with having the fluid flushed, and the code reset.

i dont think anyone has done it thats why no response i asked same question. guy at my local trans shop says he can do it he needs tranny (hehe sorry had to) wiring harness the pcm and shifter out of 4speed car.

anyone else had this code yet? the tranny is still fine.... but the code will not go away

Are you 100% sure you have a 3 speed auto?
