Hey there...
My car, 98 sunfire 2200, has been actting up a bit lately.
On the way too work thursday i stoped at a set of lights and my car started chugging, sounds like it was going to stall out but the volt gauge did not drop at all; stayed at 14.
Then coming home today i went to stop and my car was reving at about 15000, should be at about 7-8 grand; so i pull over shut it off and start it back up and it was fine.
Any one know what the problem could be?
I am thinking maby the throttle possition sensor....... the tach is also loopy sometimes as well; bouncing up and down a bit....

About a year ago i forgot a rag in my intake tube when i was cleaning the filter and i drove my car and it got sucked into my throttle body, the car was reving right high by it self, the garage found the rag; i was so embaressed, anyway after that day she was still reving a bit high so they reset my computer, and the garage told me i may have damaged my throttle body possition sensor; so maby its actting up now......

First of all would you happen to have a check engine light on? If so I would get the code scanned,

Ha haaaaaa sorry, i meant to put 1500, not 15000, no vtec j body here,lol
No check engine light on, maby just the cold; was fine all day today, fingers are crossed she continues to work good.
