hey guys my cousins got a 94 cavalier and hes telling me that when hes slowing down to a stop the car starts to vibrate and when hes at about 5mph the car just dies and it takes awhile to get it running again and when he d might be.oes and hes moving again the car runs fine. ive never heard of this and was woundering if anyone on here has any idea of what it

more info on the car? Is it a auto? If so lock up converter might not be unlocking. I had this happen to a 89 cavy I had. I unpluged it and it was good, except for on the highway RPMs were a little higher.

sorry yea its an auto, i have no idea what motor is in it, and i was thinking it might be the converter, if it is is there any way to fix it without pulling the trans?

You can unplug the lock up converter connection, but that is not a true fix.
FU Tuning
Do a search here for the torque converter locking solenoid. Many others have had this problem. The TC is ok, it's the switch fails, and I think it's an easy bolt in/bolt out type of job.
