fan kicking off when engaging

i noticed the electric fan on my car kicks off about 5 seconds after it comes on...anyone know what may be causing this??? i spun the fan by hand to make sure it wasnt seized and it seemed fine.
its not such a big deal right now with the temps being cold but when summer comes around i dont want it to overheat on me.

I had the same problem, check the ground at the trnasaxle stud (its a 2 wire, single terminal ground ring), or the connector at the fan is loose...

When is it doing this? On start up of the car?
