Can anybody please tell me why my car will not shoot me the engine code? Someone told me their was a fuse blown? But does anyone no which one it is or located at?
Did you hook an OBD2 scanner up to it??
If so and it still doesn't give a code, check the fuse for that. I think it's called like data port or something like that.
Also, is it on all the time or just flash on for a little. I'm pretty sure the one that doesn't stay on is a misfire.

I went the autozone and used their OBD2 scanner and no code... And the check engine light stays on.. And were is this data port located at
Well the port is what they plug into but I'm saying check that fuse for the data port.

But were is the data port fuse located at?
In your fuse panel somewhere, idk, check your owners manual or the door of the fuse panel.

Im looking but their is notting with data port on it
Well list um all I guess unless you are sure they aren't it like radio or wipers or something.

Man I need help-- 1996 Z24 Cavalier is broken
I agree, you do need help
hence why I offered it. You can't figure out which fuse it is so I'm saying post them all. I'm not gonna go outside cause it's cold out.

Dude the fuse isnt labaled data port for one.
Secondly you went to one place, someone who has no clue how a car works, couldnt get your code, and you assume him to be correct.
If I was you, my first thing would be try a different place, see if they can get the code.
If you still cant get a code, then the wire from the CEL bulb to the PCM is cross shorted, with something that is on all the time.
I seen this before, with someone hooking up a stereo, and they used the CEL bulb wire for power, anytime the radio was on, the CEL was to.

For example on a '93 it's labelled "10Amp Gauges"

had same problem on 97 cav blown cigarette lighter fuse.repaced fuse reader stared working.
for the time being,, why dont u pull the battery for a second.. if it goes off when u plug it back in. obviously its not the fuse.. and ur reading it wrong.
if it comes back on when u hook up the batt again its most likely a fuse
