no horn

ok so i've been tackling some of my minor winter projects and one is my horn not working. the guy that wired my car when i had my motor put in said that the reason it doesn't work is some connector in the wheel or behind the wheel...(i think he said it was shaped like a ring? lol) anyway he said this connector is broke...now i took the front off my steering wheel and can't see anything that looks like that right in plain view looks like a ring shaped thing behind the actual wheel but don't want to go tearing farthur until i know what the hell i am looking at. i searched and came across this topic Click here about half way down a poster named Kardain talks about a connector in the column that the horn button plugs into...is this what i am trying to find and if so how do i get at it?...any help with this is greatly appreciated. thanks

Well first thing I would do, Is get a piece of speaker wire and touch the power supply connector on the horn then, If it makes the horn sound then, It works, Then you can either replace the horn piece in the steering wheel area, I can't remember if cavaliers have a horn relay module,Wouldnt hurt to phone the GM dealer to ask if they do.Or add a push button to activate the horn to sound.

Good Luck
