ok i have looked for another post about this but i cant find one like it. i have a 1997 cavi 2.2 andi have heard that the easiest way to do plug wires and coil packs is to pull the front motor mount and pull the motor forward to get to the coil packs to replace them is this a good idea ?? i have also heard that ramps work good to by pulling the car up on them but i dont have any ?? also i just bought accel 8mm 300+ thunder series wires and accel coils are these a good choice or is there any better i have had trouble finding wires and coil packs for the 2.2 if anyone has any idea on all this please let me know!!!
thanks for you time,
Cale
I didn't do that...I just removed the silver canister from the a/c. Mine didnt work anyway, and i could lean over and reach it better. But I tend to do stuff the hard way.

Heya Cale Green, Na you wont have to pull the engine forward. Ive done a few too many tune ups on those models and earlier V6's, I did the wire from underneath little bit of a tight fit I go it. If you got youre car on ramps or jack stands works great. Just allow youre self some time to do it, one plug & wire at a time you should be good to go.
Good Luck.
Make sure the exhaust is cold before you go reaching around under that engine. I tell you from experience. OUCH!!! DOH!!!!
8mm wires won't fit in the OE plastic wire conduit, and will be a snug fit coming over the valve cover like the OE wires.

Umm yes they will, I had 8mm on my old 2.2.
When I changed my coil packs out I reached from underneath the engine.. Reached through where the stock downpipe comes down. Wasn't easy, but that was my best way.

I'll agree on the conduit, but disagree on the valve cover.
Good luck with the accel coil packs. and getting your items quick from howell automotive. my packs burnt out 2 1/2 months after installing them. and howell took over a month to get me my items.
