I have searched, and the search hasn't quite given me the answer I am looking for.
Ok, so a couple weeks ago I put my winter tire/wheels on. I did not rotate them at all, just put them on. Anyways, a couple days ago when the car approaches or passes 115km/h, i get crazy vibrations everywhere.
Now here's the thing, I am right in the middle of exam season, and do not have much time to read and read and read to figure out what is wrong. I would like get under the car (have a 4' pit in garage) and know sort of what to look for. And get it done quickly so I can get back to the books...
From my searches, these are what the problem could be (any insight on either is appreciated);
1) bad/unbalanced/improperly tightened wheel - How would i be able to tell, is a shop the only way?, or are there visual clues etc
2)wheel bearing, lift car, force wheel horizontally both directions, if play, know there is a problem...(but wheel bearings are usually just the humming noise..not crazy shaking the dashboard, arms shaking like drummer)
3)CV boot torn, if the 'tear' is small can the boot be compressed to tell if there is still grease inside, and be able to notice..possibly compare to other side?
4)Engine Mount? I doubt this, since the vibs seem to applify after a certain speed, if it were engine mount it would amplify after certain rpm?
Are there any other known possibilities that would cause a very bad vibration? If so, What would I look for under the car when I'm down there?
P.S. All grease fittings are topped up at every oil change (6000km for me) if that has any relevance..
Thanks in advance..
Sounds like you have a front wheel bearing problem.
Jack it up and see if you get any play on one or both of the front wheels.
sounds more like just unbalanced wheels.....I would do that first before you start crawling under the car.
Aligment could also be a culprit

By chance does it happen when you press on the brake? If so, I'd suggest new roaters ... which is also a good thing to keep nice a new when owning a car. If its not when you brake, I'd go with the easy and suggest an alignment, at worst ... its probably just wheel bearings, but those are easy to spot out when you are turning when you hear a squeek AND you know for a fact that your brakes are good.

It does not happen when braking, calipers/pads/rotors were replaced in may...(yes all three)
I've had a wheel bearing go before, that seemed to be more of an annoying noise, not much vibrations...just humming when turning left (right wheel), right (left wheel)...
Can the wheels be inspected myself, or is this something I shoudl just bring into a shop?
I'd go with the guys above, unbanlaced wheel or damaged tire. One of my winter tire had an internal blow (sidewall failure) on the normally unseen part had had similar results.
More tires front/backof vibration moves from front to back, you've got you problem partly found.
