I just had my brakes completely changed out. New calipers, Brembo slotted rotors, s.s. brake lines and new pads. When I went out to bed the pads I stopped from 60mph. As the car nose dived down I heard a loud pop. Every time I repeated the bedding technique the same loud pop. Any one have this problem? Any advice as to what it is will be appreciated.
I would first get the front end up on jack stands, recheck all youre caliper bolts that they are tight, Also youre brake pads could not be seated into the calipers far enough, Could also need some Hi temp silicone to keep the pads from moving. If everything checks out on that, I would look into you upper & lower motor mounts, Then also look into youre strut mount or bearings wornout.
good luck

I have the Carcustoms upper and lower motor mounts. Maybe 8 months old, so they are still good. I have noticed that the suspension pops now when I turn into a parking lot from the street. So maybe the pops are related. The car has 170,000+ miles on the tie rods and ball joints, so I am having the guy who did the brakes look into that. As a side note the car stops so much better now. I don't worry about slamming into the rear of somebody now or letting someone else drive it. I will keep you updated on what my mechanic finds.
could be the control arms wornout, You never know until you inspect for play in suspension parts. take all aspects of trouble shooting to correct that problem.
Good Luck.
i got 10 bucks on control arm bushings or strut mounts....prothane control arm bushings are cheap
