I own a 1997 Sunfire with a 2.2L engine. It has had some problems starting. You can crank it somedays and it will start fine and others it will sound flooded. After it gets started, it works fine, but if it sits for a few hours it will start its problems right back up.
I have ideas that it could be the fuel filter, fuel pressure regulator, or injector. I am not sure how I can test these, but I wanna stay away from shops as much as I can.
Any ideas please help.
Are the battery connections clean and shiny also the ground(s) on the other end of the Negative cable?

No worries no more I pin pointed it closer and determined it to be the Fuel pressure regulator. Replaced it and she roars just fine...well maybe not a roar from this 2.2L lol
Thanks Anywho,
Ryan
