The last few days my cars been giving me some trouble. I had this problem a year or so back but it somehow cleared itself up.
Not all the time, but there are times when I start up my car, and then it dies. It basically runs for 2 seconds, then dies. I know this is what happens when the Theft Lock system is activated, but the Theft Lock light isn't lit.
I have two different keys for the car, an original and a new one. Sometimes one works, sometimes the other.
Any ideas? Could this potentially just be a bad ground shorting out something?

Instead of Theft Lock, I believe I mean PASSlock.
I called the dealership today about having a key cut from using the VIN #. They said it could be an ignition cylinder issue.
Does this sound right? I have no idea...
