I just recently brought my car to a mechanic to pinpoint a noise coming from the engine. When I got it back I swore I heard a noise coming from the back window. It was only doing it while driving so I couldn't find where it was coming from. So while parked I just pushed on the window and it's almost just sitting in there with no glue. I can push on it and make it pop out like a half an inch from inside at the top. Anybody ever hear of the windows just coming loose? It makes the noise while turning mostly. Can excessive hard turning kind of break it loose? Or could the recent cold weather somehow have broken the seal? Anyways, what can I glue it back in there with, just some clear silicone or is there a special adhesive for that?
manual, or power? it could be broken off its regulator, or off the track..pull the door panel, and take a look inside, see if anything looks awry. if your not sure what to look at, take the other side off, and look at that for a refrence point.

this useless post brought to you by the alcoholic known as LUNDiS
LUNIDS: sounds like he is talking about eh rear window, not one of the side ones.
thats really really weired. if the window has ever been replaced before, maybe they didnt adhear it properly. go to a local auto glass reapir shop or automotive store and buy the proper stuff. the auto glass place can probably suggest the best solution or may even fix it for you for really cheap since its not like they are reaplacing the glass.

Injection is nice but id rather be BLOWN!
My front did this exact same thing. But I blamed it on my system. I had to get the windows remounted.

Yah my front one does that as well from my system..maybe the previous owner had a lod system in that car....take it to a glass shop nd get them to fix it or buy some window urethane and squeeze it in there..phil
I'd take it and have it professionally resealed.
They use a special type of adhesive/sealant for windshields. Remember -if you happen to flip or roll the car, the strength of the windshield or rear window seal comes into play for how much or how little structural integrity the car has.
Thanks for the replies. I was about to do it myself and was thinking about the structural integrity that John spoke of. With it loose like it is I can see how the windshield does provide some stability. Basically the way a strut tower brace does. When I turn real hard the window actually comes loose and then goes back into place after straightening the steering wheel.
if ur rear window came out someone had to do something. We take windows out of cars all the time in auto body class and trust me its no easy task. that window urethane is some tough stuff and you basicly have to saw through it if u dont have a really sharp knife. i'd take it to a shop and have them completely take the window out and reseal everything. The front and rear windows shouldn't come out from anything but being cut out. i dont care how loud ur system is. i've seen windows break before they come out from SPL comps.
