weak windows in winter

As the topic says. Last year I had this problem and it's happening again this winter.

When I try to open my (power) windows, they have to really struggle to go down, and when they do it's quite slow. It's even slower getting them back up. Sometimes they just die.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Also, my power locks I often have to press twice to get them closed. Though I think I might just have some sound deadener too close to the bars.

Excessive resistance causes them to go up/down slower.

If it is drawing more amps than it should, mechancial resistance, lower amps than it should, eletrical resistance.

You need an amp clamp, put it around the wire that supplies 12V to the motors, see how many amps it is drawing.

For Nissans atleast around 5-8amps is about normal for most of them, I would assume the same for your car.

The slides need new grease. It's a pain to open the door up far enough to grease it, but it makes a large difference.
