well if you want more of description. there is now signs of the head gasket going besides the overheating. it seems that it is building pressure somewheres cause raditor fluid starts coming from the resevoir. i replaced the cap but thats the only thing i have really done because of time and resources. would flushing the cooling system help at all would you think?
I don't think flushing will do much for you. Once the HG goes, there is not much you can do except replace. Watch your temp, don't warp the head. How many miles on this engine? I've got 141,000 on a 2.4L original HG.

Other than try alot of small trick and spent alot of money for nothing, start by putting air pressure in the cylinder and turn the crank slowly and listen to see where the air leaks. You'll know when you will close the valves and if there's a leak, you'll hear the air come out by the oil fill tube or the coolant reservoir.

oops to correct myself. i ment to say that it shows no other signs of a blown hg besides over heating. but it that can be a number of things
