about a month agao my tachometer stopped working correctly doesn't matter what i do, i've d/c batter and everything
it just spins around and reads crAZy rpms at random times
please help me so i can tell what rpm i'm in thanks in advance
You take a women and X her by PSI devide the legs and you can then juice the car......LOL
If your engine is also running poorly it is normally the crank position sensor.
If not it is either the wiring from the ECM to the cluster, or the cluster itself.

so how would i find out which 1 it is????
i was thinking about ordering a blackcatcustom cluster so maybe that would solve my problem and kill 2 birds with one stone???

Your asking how to test the wiring and the cluster?
Unfortunely you cant test the cluster for the RPM as easy as you can for the other sensors, for example the fuel pump sender, you unplug it, does it go to full?
With an RPM gauge problem, I usually visually inspect the wiring, and contacts. There isnt much wiring from the PCM to the cluster, normally there isnt at least.
So if the wiring is good, than it is a bad cluster.
