It seems the rear struts and mounts on the 2001 z24 dont last that much. I replaced them under warranty at 55k and now i need to replace them again at 100k.

So my mechanic said that its the same struts as the z22 or a 4 door cavalier. He even called the part store to make sure, and they told him its the same. Is it the same rear struts as a normal cavalier? If i remember correctly the z24 have sprot II suspension, stiffer that the ones on a regular cavy. Does this apply on the front ones only?

summit racing has the mounts for 25 bucks and shocks for around 99 each, auto zone and napa want lots of money for there mounts, summit thats the way id go.

ya same shocks and mounts as any cavalier, but the Z24 has a front sway bar where the lower models don't.
