Hah, the new member plastering questions everywhere. And it's a WAGON!
This is my parts getter/practical car, and it's been a pretty good car for the last two years. However, for quite some time it's had a very slow leak from somewhere int eh fuel rail region. I can't find it for the life of me, and I haven't gotten tot eh point where I'm ready to rip apart the rail to find it. It's just enough that you can smell it, but it never drips, so you never see where the heck it is.
Does anyone hav eany idea what it might be? could one of the injectors be leaking? The rail appears to be one cast piece, so I can't see it leaking from anywhere else, but then again, I can't really see how it's assembled without taking it all apart.
Thoughts?
Could be youre fuel tank seal has a hole in it, Or fuel line, Just got to trace all the area's where fuel would travel.
I'm relatively certain it's under the hood. It comes into the car though the fresh air inlet when I'm sitting idle, and if you sniff around it's strongest under the hood. It also looks like there is a darkish stain on the fuel rail casting, but no drips.
Proberly have a fuel injector leaking (bad o-ring or cracked injector). Have a look for signs of staining under each injector.
