Just put the engine in the car, and hook everything up.

Anybody else fear for that car's health?

If you took the timing chain off it has alignment pins so you know how to put everything back. Otherwise the computer controls advance....

i wasn't reffering to the timing between the crank and the cams.....that i already know......lets try this another way....i rebuilt the motor from the ground up....TIMING IS CORRECT (i have a haynes manual)....now after everything is put back together (CORRECTLY).....do i leave everything at TDC???.....i only ask because of that 15 degree mark on the timing chain housing cover...and i haven't seen anything in the book about it.....

Just put the motor in the car... no need to worry, it doesn't stop at the same place every time...

yah... doesnt matter so much on computer controlled veicles... only on initial startup with a ditributor engine... you need the timing close, but not spot on. our cars, they're smart (kind of).so long as the cam is timed with the crank, it doesnt matter where in the cycle it is, just bolt that thing on, stir, and enjoy.
