by any chance, does anyone have any thought on why my motor (2.4) is running around 200-205 ish..like i changed my oil, is cool outside..like i cant figure it out why it wont go down to 195..do i need to change a sensor? it will vary what degrees it runs but the only way to get it to go down is to drive round 80 mph at night..but it bounces up and down..any help would be appriciated..thanks

How old is the coolant? How many miles on the car?

Honestly, unless the car is overheating, or boiling over and losing coolant.... I wouldn't worry about it. I don't trust the stock gauges anyway.

considering that the PCM doesn't turn on the fan till 223°, it would seem to me that all is good.

Maybe try a low temp thermo? They can be found all over the net for the 2.4.
