Alternator Bearing Failure

Alternators are something that I've never tried to
take apart and repair, just bought rebuilt ones. So,
I thought I'd learn how starting by replacing bad bearings.

On the internet the instructions convinced me that
I don't have enough equipment to do this.

Here's the instructions:

It is far easier to replace the altern versus rebuilding it the cost and time do not justify the headache. Not to mention a new or reman unit normally comes with a lifetime warranty which is just a solid reason to buy a whole alt to begin with.I would not ever rebuild for the above reasons.
